Title
Established in 1951 to meet emergency medical and health needs of abused and neglected children in Morgan County. (Formerly Homeless Children's Fund) Just as the problems of poverty, mental illness, mental retardation, teenage pregnancy, drug/alcohol addiction and domestic violence have increased, so has the number of children requiring out of home care for their safety and protection.
Thousands of Children have benefited through the years from United Way Funds to meet needs as simple as an outfit of clothes to as complex as specialized therapy for a child traumatized by severe physical and sexual abuse.
Until the world finds a way to alleviate all the problems that can lead a family to become so dysfunctional that child abuse becomes a way of life, we will continue to need community support for the FACES of Morgan County's Abused and Neglected children.
